I grew up surrounded by books and read constantly before I left my beloved fictional worlds for personal pursuits. Then, two years ago, I discovered indie and self-published books and once more fell in love with reading. If this blog were to be dedicated to anyone, it would be to all the undiscovered and undervalued writers out there. I’m cheering you on!

A little more about me…

I grew up spinning story after story for my younger siblings. Some were written and some were enacted, but all were a great joy. Now all three of us have hopelessly fallen for the written word.

However, I do admit to reading significantly more than I write. My days consist of half-filled diaries, client manuscripts, rambling English papers, and many a stack of books. When it comes to this last aspect—which is also my favorite aspect—I admit to needing a little help. I don’t have too many books. I just have a need for more shelves. Can anyone else relate?

My favorite genre is fantasy. I also often find myself reading lots of young adult, historical fiction, mystery, and clean romance. Faith-based authors are unquestionably my favorite, and The Silmarillion is and shall always be my most-loved novel. Unsurprisingly, J.R.R. Tolkien is my favorite author. I admit to having an entire shelf of his works and will soon need space for more! However, I also love the writings of William Shakespeare, C.S. Lewis, Edgar Allan Poe, Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, H.S.J. Williams, R.J. Anderson, Nadine Brandes, Sara Ella, Emily Hayse, and Morgan L. Busse.
